Photography Workshops

Take your photography to the next level.

We offer a range of workshops and one-to-ones to suit any ability level, ranging across the whole spectrum of photography, whether you want to learn how to operate your camera more effectively, or you are more advanced and wish to try new techniques. Each workshop can be tailored to the individual and does not necessarily follow a strict syllabus, enabling flexibility and ensuring your valuable time is not wasted covering what you already know. This is a great way to progress at your own pace, to realise your visions and start taking pictures you are proud of. Depending on the subject, the workshops can take place at a location of your choice, plus they can be any length and cover any subject, planned and agreed on prior to the day. By keeping the numbers small, or concentrating on a private 1-2-1, more time can be spent with the individual, creating a more focused environment. We can also advise you on what gear you may need for the course, and we also have some equipment for demonstration purposes.

Subjects include:

Getting the best from your gear, from beginner level upwards, including camera functions and operation

Progressing your photography, for those who wish to move beyond simple automatic modes to more creative control

Digital post processing, using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom

Location shoots, and an appreciation of how to make the most of the opportunity

Film photography, 35mm, medium- and large format, including processing and printing

Basic flash portraiture, maximizing the equipment you own and using any location as a studio, using speedlights rather than mains powered flash

The courses are run by internationally published and awarded photographers with decades of experience, who believe that learning and progressing are positive things. We are able to answer all of your questions with honesty and integrity, and we can give considered and impartial advice about cameras, techniques and equipment. Ultimately, we would like you to enjoy your time with us, and we aim to help you take the next steps in your photographic journey.
